Learning music helps young people to learn in other areas and assists students to experience a full and well-rounded education. Music is taught for all year 7 students and is a dynamic part of our School culture.

The co-curricular Instrumental Music Program gives students an extraordinary opportunity to participate in ensembles and receive specialist, small group or one on one tuition in an instrument. The focus of this program is orchestral instruments (Brass, Percussion, Strings, Voice and Woodwind) Performance is a key part of the instrumental music program as we work toward developing the skills and competencies of professional musicians. Students who study instrumental music will be members of one or more of the school’s performing ensembles.
